I have a moldy FM2 that I try to restore. After fixing the shutter, I am trying to fix the mirror mechanism: I can't cock it but I can't find what's wrong with it (the mirror is down and loose). Please help  |

Is the mechanism of the mirror really broken or is the mirror stuck at the top because of gummy seals? |

It is not stuck - it lost its tension and lies in the down position. I can easily move it when touching it. |
