I have a Prontor SVS (on a Graphic 35). The slow speeds were running very slow until I cleaned it. Now they are OK except for the 1 second, which runs at about 1/50, unless I leave the speed cam off, in which case it does about what it should. Grateful for any suggestions.

Track the movements of all the pins chasing the different parts of the cam - usually one of them is stuck, bent or broken whenever some times can't be set.

Many thanks for the advice. Thers's nothing obvious--maybe I'll open up another working one and see if I can spot the difference.

Look for the possibility that you may have bent the pin when you placed the speed cam back on the shutter and then tightened the front panel down: if one of the pins misses its slot, the force of retightening the panel is likely to bend it.

Many thanks both. It was a bent pin (though in my own defence I should say I hadn't actually tightened the speed cam yet). Still it's all sorted, with a little gentle force.
