Hello I have got a Praktica LTL and was wondering if it is still ok to use without the 625 battery? I have an external light meter so dont really need it.

thanks

It'll work fine, the battery only powers the light meter.

Hi! On the LTL,MTL series you can use any button cell that would fit the slot as such or with paper shims, if necessary. Any 1.5volt cell will work equally well as the original 1.35 volts cell. The meter has a bridge circuit and measures the difference in current flow between the Light sensitive loop and the battery supplied current loop. Best, sp
