Just picked up a minolta a5 and it has a rattling sound near the lens barrel.
I tried removing all the lens screws but nothing would budge.
Admittedly the a5 is very "gunky". I have already managed to clean up and repair the film area.

Any advise or help is appreciated.

They get very gunky. Once you get the small set screws off, the lens surround ring should come off. Then you take off the three screws holding the shutter speed setting ring and then the speed-setting ring should come off.

If I remember right, this model requires you to set shutter speed before advancing the film, or damage may occur.

Thanks, does anyone have a photo pointing out exactly which screws need to be removed?
