The 1st thing to check is the batteries. You can test the mechanical operation of the camera by turning the speed dial to the M90 or B setting.

1. Is the mirror down or up?

2. Shutter opened or closed or in-between?

if the batteries are ok and the leds are working in the veiw finder and the shutter and mirror are closed and down ,you may just have to remove the bottom and reset it.
