Google language tools makes more or less understandable translations from japanese to english. I stumbled across the kochi-med.net site some time ago and I could find at least some hints. |

I stumbled on a website posting from a German fellow who named me and registered abounding gratitude to myself and this forum.
He referred to my article on Voigtlander Vtessa L servicing.
He then translated all into German and reposted to other sites.
When I tried to read his German posting via Google automatic translation - I could hardly believe my eyes. The result was pure cuckooland.
Moral of this little story: If it aint in English - watch out or you may completely stuff up your Leica (or whatever)! |

I was interested to see a variety of nice looking "optical spanners". If anyone has purchase these tools from a source in Japan I would be very interested in hearing about it.

Even the poor translation offered by the Google autotranslation the Japanese tool site, especially the "use and details" liner notes and photographs, will intensify the use of my home made tools, as it is a source of new ideas and inspiration beyond doubt; thanks again Henry (and, of course Winfied for his hint about the language tool, as Babel fish is often not working), W. |

Apart from the spanner derived from the 'spring calipers', all the others are available from the European Micro Tool site. They are all manufactured in Japan or for Japanese companies. You just have to read the original packaging.
I suspect a Japanese source will be cheaper than the European site, but not sure about US Micro Tools site. It seems the US site is 60% cheaper than EU site. |

Btw, guys...HenryT is not me! Although I am a HenryT too. :-) It is a very comprehensive site. Impressive. A bit far for shipping though.
