I just picked up a very nice Argoflex TLR. It seems to be completely functional(though I won't be able to try it until I can pick up some 120 film later this week), but the reflex mirror has come loose and is free to float around as it wishes. It appears as though the design of the camera allows gravity to keep it properly placed when held as if it were going to be used, but, since I intend to use this camera, I'm afraid that the mirror will get broken from freely flopping around.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can safely reattach the mirror?

I'm not sure about the mirror, but I think the first question is, Which version Argoflex?

Dan,
It's the earliest one, the one that will take both 120 and 620 film, the Argoflex E. There was a Retina Reflex sitting right next to it for the same price, and I though that it would be easier to not have to deal with respooling film. The fresnel screen on the Kodak sure was tempting, though. |

Ok, I just took a look at mine. The folding top housing has 2 screws on each side. Once those are out, it just pulls up and off.
Underneath that there are 4 more screws that hold the ground glass frame on.
Looks like the mirror is just glued flat to the housing.
